The rapper, who now goes by the name "Ye", made it official last night as he posted to Twitter that he had proposed to long-time collaborator Hatsune Miku. The two, which have had a long and complicated past over the course of their respective careers, first met when Kanye was working on his second album.

"I can't believe this is really happening. We've been through so much together. We've been in the studio, working on beats, and you know... Well, things would happen. There were sparks. I never thought it'd really happen, but here we are. Dreams come true. God is good." Ye tweeted shortly after the official announcement of their engagement.

Ye's separation from his estranged wife Kim Kardashian has been painful for both of them, but he seems eager to pursue this new relationship with all of his heart, and has even dropped hints that it was in fact Miku that he'd allegedly had an affair with, as hinted in his song "Hurricane".

Ye with Miku on the red carpet

"It's wild, like... Ha, you know, Bound 2, on Yeezus, that was actually about Miku. Yeah, it's crazy. How long have we even been on and off? 808s, that was when we first split, but we were back together again right after. Kim and I, we had something special, but part of me always knew, you know, Miku was the one." Kanye tweeted out wistfully, reminiscing about his long-time unrequited love that now, through the magic of God, is requited. "If God can break apart Kimye, it can bring together Hatsunye. God is good, everything happens for a reason. Trust in God's plan." Kanye ended his long-winded Twitter speech.

The two have been quiet since the announcement, and there's no idea yet when the wedding may be. But this seems to be Ye's happy ending, finally. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we get out Twitter announcement that Miku is pregnant with a little Ye.

Kim Kardashian has yet to comment on this latest announcement, I think she's still seeing what's his name, the guy that played Green Goblin in the Spiderman movies? The ones with Tobey Maguire. Those were good movies.
